Green Synthesis and Characterization of ZnO Nanoparticles by Using Thyme Plant Leaf Extract

نویسندگان

چکیده

Zinc oxide (ZnO) nanoparticles (NPs) were fabricated by using leaves extracted from the thyme plant employing a green method. The influence of several calcination (annealing) temperatures on characteristic properties ZnO NPs and optimum temperature for growing studied reported. 150 °C, 250 350 450 °C. Different characterization techniques used to study examine biosynthesized leaf extract. results each UV-Vis analysis FTIR spectrum extract confirmed suggested that selected is practicable choice synthesis NPs. investigated spectra displayed two strong absorption peaks at 266 nm 313 ambient temperature. FESEM images showed has significant large effect morphology, size, shape, orientation NPs, which have spherical shape with an average size in range 39.4–51.86 nm. In addition, XRD confirm formed are pure wurtzite hexagonal structure particle along (002) peak 35.20–243.3 all produced different temperatures, high absorbance UV region below 400 nm, low rate visible range. obtained energy band gap (Eg) was 2.645–2.7 eV. revealed there no discernible monitoring range, indicated purity generated via synthesized °C quality improvement compared other temperatures.
